Question 1

What are luck pillars (daeun / da yun)?

Accepted Answer

Luck pillars are not "good fortune arriving" — they are the ten-year seasons a life divides into. If the natal chart is what you were born with, the luck pillars are the background weather that flows over it a decade at a time. What changes from season to season is which of your strengths gets used well, not whether the decade is good or bad.

Question 2

When does my luck pillar change?

Accepted Answer

The age the first pillar opens comes from the number of days between the birth date and the adjacent solar-term boundary, divided by three; each pillar then runs ten years. The direction (forward or reverse) follows the year-stem polarity combined with sex. Ioreum publishes the day count behind that starting age so the derivation can be checked.

Question 3

Does a good luck pillar mean my life turns around?

Accepted Answer

We do not make that claim — it is outside what a chart can say. What we do show is which decades feed the element your chart is short of (tailwind stretches) and which bring energy your chart finds heavy going — the kind that presses on what it needs (pacing stretches). Every season has a posture that fits it; that is the view this reading takes.

Question 4

What is free?

Accepted Answer

The name of the season you are in (its 60-gapja character), which year of it you are in, and the age the next one opens — all free, no account. The full eighty-year map, the reading of each season and the recap of the ones already lived open in the full report.
