Most free chart tools cut corners at the boundaries: the solar term that starts a month, the 11pm line that starts a day, the difference between clock time and the sun’s actual position. This calculator resolves solar terms to the minute, handles the midnight-hour boundary, and — when you enter a birthplace — corrects your hour pillar with true solar time (longitude plus the equation of time). If your birth sits near a boundary, that is exactly where cheap tools flip a pillar.

Saju — Korea’s Four Pillars system, known elsewhere as BaZi — maps your birth year, month, day, and hour to four stem-branch pairs: eight characters total. The chart itself is pure calendar math; interpretation is a separate step built on top of it.
All four pillars with their elements, each character’s Ten Gods role relative to your Day Master (the exact sub-type, like Direct Wealth vs. Indirect Wealth), the hidden stems inside each branch, the twelve life-stage of each pillar, your five-element balance with excesses and gaps, your decade luck pillars with starting ages, and notable stars (sinsal).
Solar-term boundaries are resolved to the minute, the traditional 11pm day boundary is handled, and if you enter a birthplace the hour pillar uses true solar time — your actual longitude plus the equation of time, not just the clock. The engine is deterministic: no AI touches the numbers.
The hour pillar is left blank and everything else still computes. Six of the eight characters — including your Day Master and element balance — come from the date alone.
